It is been a while and to catch up I am looking back to early summer. Some outstanding dresses were made, keeping me busy and away from writing or any admin work. Here I am revisiting the creation of this smashing prom dress.
I remember I read her detailed e-mail and was amazed. She described the dress and provided the reference pictures straight away showing witch part of the dress relates to which photo and what kind of the shape and color it needs to be. It was a perfect starting point. Idea was to make a red lace mermaid shape dress with sweetheart neckline and low open V-back.
Chosen fabrics were red floral corded lace with stretch satin under-layer and lining. The flaring hem part was made of many many layers of soft tulle. It added so much more fun and youthfulness to the dress. Work also included corsetry and applique work. Low V-back is the most stunning part of the dress and it as well as neckline is finished with scalloped lace edging.
She was very kind to send me some pictures wearing the dress on the day. Stunning.
